MarbleBlue announces $5 million in strata funding through collaboration with Lannock Strata Finance, the leading lender to Australian strata corporations.
The deal enables MarbleBlue to fund further energy and water efficiency projects in strata communities and continue to grow reference sites for its building cost–benefit predictive model. Simultaneously the deal extends Lannock’s investments in environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG) initiatives.
MarbleBlue develops turnkey technology solutions for strata communities that create data-based insights to improve energy efficiency and reduce water consumption. The solutions remotely monitor primary energy and water use in buildings across air conditioning systems, car park exhausts, air handling units, lighting, and, when possible, solar. Based on usage data, the solution creates optimisation recommendations.
Outcomes for strata communities include reduced costs, renewable energy sources, improved property value, and optimised energy and water consumption. The MarbleBlue service is fast, reliable, and available nationwide through a monthly subscription model.
MarbleBlue engaged Saltire Capital Partners as the advisory firm to optimise its capital structure, create long-term customer value, and support shareholders to close the Lannock agreement. Saltire Capital Partners is a trusted mid-market advisory firm bringing unparalleled expertise and networks to help clients achieve outstanding commercial success.
Mark Robberds Chief Executive Officer of MarbleBlue, says, “We partnered with Saltire Capital Partners because of their expertise and unique approach to solving funding challenges. The Saltire team was invaluable in helping us structure our business to get the growth capital we need for the next 2-5 years. We had already engaged with Lannock and Saltire Capital Parters helped us unlock the full growth potential of that relationship.”
The Lannock agreement enables MarbleBlue’s strata building customers to benefit from improved energy and water use efficiencies as they pay down their assets, removing the need for increases in strata levies. MarbleBlue solutions are compelling in strata schemes registered before 2000. 54 percent of strata schemes in Australia were registered before 2000[1]. The average savings on water and energy costs for these schemes exceeds 30 percent. These savings equate to reducing carbon emissions by hundreds of tonnes and improving water efficiencies measured in Olympic swimming pools annually.
Robberds says,“We know Australians are keen to adopt technology that offers efficiencies and is good for the environment. This fact is supported by 2021 emerging as the fourth straight record-breaking year in solar installations, with over 2.7 million residential installations in Australia[2]. The collaboration announced today between MarbleBlue and Lannock lets strata communities invest in their buildings to save money and help the environment”.
